Great River Connections Academy is a tuition-free virtual charter school that serves students in grades K–12. Authorized by the Ohio Council of Community Schools, Great River Connections Academy is state certified and open to students throughout Ohio.

The Ohio Council of Community Schools approved the opening of Great River Connections Academy under state law in March, 2018. The school is operated through a contract with Connections Academy of Ohio, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school is governed by an independent board of directors, and all board meetings are open to the public.
